On behalf of The George Washington University's International Affairs Society, it is my distinct honor to invite you to participate in the Greater Washington Conference on International Affairs. The 14th annual conference, to be held in the fall of 2009, is an ideal forum for middle students to learn about and discuss the international issues facing our world.

With its constructive debate and a professional atmosphere, GWCIA XIV will serve as a learning experience for all students involved. The conference, held at The George Washington University, emphasizes diplomacy and negotiation as a means for solving conflict. By channeling the professionalism of our staff and the ideal DC location into our conference, GWCIA is a yearly success. The conference is fun, exhilarating, and educational for all participants.

Our staff members are George Washington students who are currently studying, working, or feel a passion for international Affairs and diplomacy. As members of the International Affairs society, our staff is equipped with experience and knowledge of international relations and Model United Nations.

GWCIA XIV will join the ranks of previous conferences and set a great precedent for the years to come. This years conference will once again feature an innovative Joint Crisis Committee as well as the more traditional committee such as the UN Commission on Human Rights and Disarmament and International Security.
