About WAMUNC

The Washington Area Model United Nations Conference is a four-day conference for high school students put on by the International Affairs Society of The George Washington University.

Location is key with WAMUNC as the campus of GWU is conveniently located in the heart and political center of Washington DC. Nearby headquarters include the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Organization of American States, the U.S. State Department, the White House, and numerous international embassies. The Secretariat of WAMUNC strives to integrate the conference into the fast-paced world of Washington DC, and we hope to allow every committee the opportunity to visit important sites around the city that are relevant to their topics of debate.

For more about WAMUNC, please see the Letter from the Secretary General and the Faculty FAQ.
