GWUPIE

The George Washington University’s Program for International Education (GWUPIE) is a fellowship offered to select International Affairs Society members that assist in providing a global education through Model UN to traditionally undeserved schools. GWUPIE is partnered with the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area’s Global Classrooms DC (GCDC). GCDC provides innovative curriculum and training for middle school and high school students.

GWUPIE Model UN Trainers are a team of university students that work with GCDC in the classrooms, teaching students Model UN and preparing them for our conference that takes place at the US Department of State. Trainers receive a complimentary UNA-NCA membership and year-long subscription to Foreign Policy. In addition to the membership, Trainers will also have opportunities to network with the DC community at large, providing trainers with better career opportunities during and after college. GWUPIE will also be providing professional development series in accordance to trainer interests along with several social events to celebrate the numerous successes that GWUPIE has throughout the school year.

If you are interested in youth advocacy, international affairs, education, Model UN or wish to further your professional development, GWUPIE is a wonderful opportunity.
