The George Washington University Model United Nations Team, a consistently nationally top-10 ranked team, is looking for a new class of Freshman to join our team. Whether you have been active in your high school’s Model UN team or are just interested in international affairs, political science or economics we welcome you to come out and see what being a member of the team is all about.
At the start of each academic year, the George Washington University Model United Nations team runs a wide range of mock conferences and training opportunities open to all members of the International Affairs Society. These practice and trial runs allow you to see if the team is right for you and gain experience in collegiate MUN competition, as well as for us to scout up-and-coming team members to continue GW’s MUN domination on the circuit. If selected to be a part of our team, you will be able to travel around the country and around the world in competitive, engaging, and exciting MUN competition.
As a team member you will gain the opportunity to network and acquire life-long friendships with competitors from the top colleges around the country. You will greatly expand your leadership, public speaking, negotiating, political strategy, diplomatic, and writing skills more than almost any other source during your time at GW. Most importantly, you will have an exceptionally fun and rewarding experience.
If you think you might be up to the challenge, I very much look forward to meeting you at CI or the beginning of the semester.
Best,
Max Sanders
Model United Nations Team Coordinator
